For the fifth consecutive year, First National Bank in Creston and Afton has been awarded a 2019 Top Workplaces honor by the Des Moines Register.

The Top Workplaces are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”Huewe mug

“We want to be the employer of choice,” Huewe said. “We look for people who are team-oriented, engaged and community focused and who are interested in growing personally and professionally. We have an excellent group of employees right now and we’re always looking for ways to improve our culture.”
