First National Bank Donates $10,000.00 to Shenandoah Community Schools

Shenandoah Community Schools received a donation of $10,000.00 from First National Bank to benefit their Fine Arts Program and provide experiences for students. Adam Wright, Bank President, and Dan Weiss, Ag/Commercial Banker presented the check. Aaron Burdorf, Elementary and Middle School Principal, Jamie Burdorf, Executive Director of the Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation, Mike Jones, 5th/6th Grade Band/Vocal Teacher, Ashleigh Smith, Vocal Music Teacher, Amy Toye, Language Arts Teacher, and Andrew Christensen, High School Principal, accepted the check on behalf of Shenandoah Community Schools.

First National Bank is proud to give back to Shenandoah Community Schools reinforcing our commitment to community. The Fine Arts Program is a vibrant mix of drama, music, and art. This contribution will go toward elevating the student experience. Such examples include hiring a Jazz Band Clinician, a Band Clinician, a Speech Improvisation guest teacher, purchasing tuners for guitars and ukuleles, and tickets to the Lion King Musical. Programs like these give local students access to opportunities that aide in their development helping create outstanding future community leaders.
